The Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) ? a landmark, observational biomarkers study launched by The Michael J. Fox Foundation ? has collected longitudinal clinical data, imaging data and biosamples from 400 people with Parkinson's disease and 200 controls. As the study follows participants over five years, the data and biosample banks grow. PPMI also has launched additional study arms recruiting people with Parkinson's risk factors including hyposmia, REM sleep behavior disorder and genetic mutations. Data and samples from these at risk populations make PPMI the most comprehensive and long-ranging dataset available for PD biomarker research.

The study accepts requests for biosamples for research purposes and makes all de-identified PPMI data available for download. The comprehensive clinical and imaging data that accompany these samples form an attractive package for researchers looking to test hypotheses or reproduce results.

This webinar covers available samples and data and the process for requesting both.
