MJFF hosts September funding conference call as deadline approaches

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF) will be conducting another review of requests for funding to analyze the data and biospecimens available in PPMI and other studies. Qualified researchers may request up to two years and $250,000 in total costs. Applications for clinical data access only will be expedited. While requests for MJFF resources may be submitted at any time, future reviews for funding and/or access to biospecimens will take place in October and December. MJFF will hold a conference call on September 17th at 12 noon to clarify and explain the goals of this initiative and to answer applicant questions.

PPMI to host Genetics Cohort Kick-Off meeting in New York, NY in September

Next month, PPMI Steering Committee members have invited clinical site teams and study core members to attend a two-day meeting in New York to kick-off the launch of the new Genetic Cohort. The meeting will feature presentations from the study cores, an overview of the amended study protocol, and recruitment strategies.

MJFF CEO discusses PPMI in guest post on Forbes.com

Imaging Inventory: what’s in the PPMI database

The PPMI repository contains the full set of clinical, imaging and biological data collected as part of this ongoing study. The repository is regularly updated as enrollment and longitudinal follow-up of study subjects continues. PPMI collects imaging data in several modalities: DaTSCAN SPECT, AV-133 PET, fMRI, and DTI

Smell Identification Test in PPMI subject of podcast on UAB blog
