The PPMI study was designed with flexibility to allow for novel tests, assessments and sample collection to be added to the study over time. To date, an ancillary studies submission form has existed on the PPMI website to allow investigators interested in proposing new studies to suggest them to the ancillary studies committee.
Recently, a new page was added to this section to provide an overview of ongoing ancillary studies that have been approved and added to the study to date. Highlights on this page include information and protocols for the following sub-studies:
- SWEDD (Scans Without Evidence of Dopaminergic Deficit) Study
- TAP-PD (Three Site Assessment of the Potential for Home Dexterity Monitoring in a PD) Biomarker Study
- 18F AV 133
- Resting State fMRI
- Tracking Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Dementia
This section will updated on an ongoing basis as new studies are added to PPMI.
